Shifters, like humans, are gregarious, so they tend to live in small groups. They live in Clans, Packs or Flocks, and when they group up they establish a territory that they check and defend (some more than others) Some of them instead choose to not group up and live as a loner.

A Clan is a group of mixed (so with diffrent animal forms) Shifters that decide to live together. A Clan is often lead by a dominant alpha.

A Pack is a group of canine shifter that decided to live together. Packs often build up hunting teams to be more succesful at hunting.

A Flock is a group of shifter with bird form. They can be a Migratory Flock (so a group that stick together but doesn't have a territory) or a Stationary Flock (so a group that find a territory and stick together there)

Loners are those Shifters that end up living by themselves. Life can be more though for them because they doesn't have the support of a group to hunt and they also lack of territory where to etsablish themselves, so they do not have a home to came back. Loners often sleep outside in animal form, so it's usual for them to live in a more "animal way" (for example, a rabbit shapeshifter would sleep in animal form in its bed if it was safe in a territory, but if it's a loner it might just dig a hole where to spend the night)

Travelers, as the name might suggest, are Shifters that live to travel. They group up in tiny groups or couples and they bounce from a territory to another. They're the adventurer of this world! :D
